Why did I not know about Francesca’s Collections before this moment? Their dresses, skirts and tops are adorable but these bags are really tugging at my heartstrings. They’re just so springy/affordable/fashionable/insert your own positive adjective here. I’d be happy to have one (read: 10) of these hanging in my closet.

Hello, yellow

Sometimes I get hooked on a color. Whether I notice it in store windows or racks, on my friends and co-workers or in my very own closet, I definitely go through phases of obsessing over a certain hue.

Right now I’m loving me some yellow. It’s such a happy little addition to any outfit and perks up my mood when it’s dreary out. Even if you don’t think you can rock a canary blazer or dress, it’s always nice to add a pop of color in the form of a necklace or awesome umbrella at every price point.

I am jonesing for a new bag. You may know about my inability to accessorize properly and this definitely extends to the cute (and sensible) bag realm of the accessory world. I’ll buy a bag, wear it to pieces and then proceed to use a reusable tote as my work/gym/life bag until the end of time. So uncool.

I came across Ellington Hangbags on Cup of Joe last week and am in love with nearly every one of their bags. While I initially thought I might score a new beige or gray crossbody bag for fall/winter, I’m having second thoughts. Maybe a new work tote would be more practical? Or a fun colored hobo bag that I could use every day of the week?

The possibilities clearly are endless … which does nothing to improve my decision making skills. At this point I’m better off closing my eyes, pointing at something and buying it without question. At least that’s what my raggedy tote would want me to do.

My affinity for scarves and two-toned colors can be found all throughout I love, I need (exhibit A, B and C) and here I am just finding more.

This particular gem is from Hazel & Hunt, where they have an entire line of hand-painted, hand-dyed, organic accessories and I’m in looove.

The Montreal based artist inspired by sustainability, only uses high-quality natural and organic fibers, and all of her supplies come from local based places.

Additionally, the last adorable little cosmetic bag will be sold in Anthropologie this fall. Woo!
