This time two years ago I was in sunny Portugal and boy do I wish I was back there.

For today’s photo finish I pulled a photo of the gorgeous buildings in Porto to use and found some cute summer pieces I would love to add to my closet. Especialllllly those sandals. Love them.

Now that I’ve lived in Dublin for over six months (crazy!!) I’ve come to figure out some of my favorite spots and stores. Since I’ve already talked about some fantastic Irish jewelry, I thought I might keep up with the Irish theme for the week.

Industry is a store that I visit at least monthly. I hardly ever buy anything much, considering it’s a furniture, household and stationery store, but they have such fantastic things in their shop.

I love the rustic, simple layout of the store and almost everything in the store I want to buy. Too bad I am a broke just out of college student and have a teeny-tiny apartment, because whenever I’m a real person with a permanent(ish) home and a bit of spare money to spend, I will have to buy some wonderful pieces from here.

You can see their shop online here, but if you are ever in Dublin let me know, we’ll get coffee and checkout this fantastic shop… as I always look for an excuse to go here: Industry, 5 Essex Street West (bottom of Cows Lane), Temple Bar, Dublin 8.

A funky beachside town located at the very tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown is filled with great shopping, restaurants and New England-y attractions like lighthouses, nature walks and sailing regattas. My uncle owns an inn on the west end of the town, one that I haven’t been to in years. Fortunately, I’ll be setting up camp there next month for a long (overdue) weekend with Eric, my best bud Monica and her newly minted fiancé and I couldn’t be more excited. In addition to spending time on the beach in the company of some of my favorite people, I’m looking forward to renting bikes, exploring Commercial Street and heading to The Lobster Pot for a lobstah roll.

Has anyone else been up to Provincetown? Any can’t miss restaurants or attractions? Here are a few I thought looked fun:

• Spending a few hours wandering (and boat watching) along Macmillan Pier
• Stand up paddle boarding or kayaking
• Hiking the Beech Forest Trail with the pup
• Relaxing at Race Point Beach 
• Enjoying a meal (or cocktail, or two) at Ten Tables, The Mews and Bayside Betsy’s

I’d love to introduce you to one of my favorite Irish jewelry designers, Chupi.

I saw her gorgeous initial necklaces at a little market on the street last year and fell in love with her simple, beautiful pieces.

Luckily, there’s a fantastic little loft market in one of my favorite little shopping areas in Dublin at the Powerscourt Town House that sells Chupi jewelry! I love the shops in the centre as they do a great job promoting fantastic Irish goods.

PS. Sorry for being M.I.A. yesterday – I unfortunately have an ear infection and was spending the day resting. Hopefully I’ll be better for the rest of this week!

Ever since I blogged about skirts for spring, they’ve been catching my eye left and right. And not just any old skirts–my crazy, short dress-loving self has been obsessing about maxi skirts. I’ve never owned one and have always worried that they’ll somehow look all kinds of wrong on me but after seeing this post on a Cup of Jo Friday, I decided to just bite the dang bullet and pick this one up from ASOS. I’m hoping it’ll serve as the final piece of my summer wardrobe puzzle: a versatile piece I can dress up or down from Memorial Day through early fall.

I’ll report back if it is a disaster!

We hung out in the grass talking about the fun plans we have for this summer and I just hope the summer holds at least a few good weather days. Today it’s already cold, gray and rainy again, but give me another weekend day of nice weather and I’ll be in heaven.
